Quality early childhood care and education programs establish policies and procedures that inform employees, family members and community partners of the program's expectations, practices, and commitment to ensuring children have the best care. This course will assist you in developing appropriate medication administration policies for your child care program. Participants will identify need for a medication administration policy, identify program and community resources that may aid in understanding information required within the policy and resources that may assist the program in adhering to the policy, outline policy contents, and identify staff needs for understanding and putting the policy into practice.
